Earth Day incoming
Ethical and Responsible TV and Computer Recycling

If you already collect white goods, auto batteries, and tires, you can also collect TVs and PCs for your community.  Good Point Recycling staff will collect all types of scrap electronics, from old TVs to laptops and radios.  You can assure your residents of an affordable, ethical, and responsible solution to community's recycling needs.

For the 30% of material managed by our reuse programs, we maintain records of every sale on every item, using revenues to lower your total end-of-life recycling costs.   For the 70% of material which is "end of life", we document complete demanufacturing, breaking the items down to basic elements (iron, copper, aluminum, plastic, lead, silica, etc.).  Our end markets are fully documented and audited.  Our responsible recycling practices have been profiled by regional and national press (see Qualifications).

EVENTS for Responsible Computer and TV Recycling

Good Point Recycling provides several types of collection events, according to the needs and goals of the client.   We provide either fully staffed events (up to 50 per event) or, if you want to save money, bare-bones events (trucking staff only) charging processing and trucks only.   We provide Sponsored Events for hosts and OEMs with a full budget for "free" recycling, and "Turn-Key" events for groups seeking a fund raiser (must have publicity budget and minimum population restrictions apply) - we charge the Host nothing and collect fees directly from residents.   A third "hybrid" event lowers the cost per item to resident in return for trucking costs only.   Click here for applications showing which type of Event you are looking for.
New in 2009!   Multi-Material Trailerload Recycling

Many solid waste districts have discovered that the costs of consolidating a shippable quantity of books, textiles, ag film, aluminum, steel bales and electronics is difficult at a typical recycling depot.  Good Point now offers a "Big Blue Box" program to promote convenience, save on storage, and simplify accounting.

We credit for materials (such as baled aluminum) and use the revenue to subtract out the costs of TVs and other cost-items.   Why pay 6 different companies trucking fees, and why store 6 different loads when the market may change before you can ship?
  • Baled material (OCC, office paper, cans, plastic bottles, plastic film)
  • Gaylord material (Books, copper pipe, drained lawn and garden equipment, electronics)
  • Soon - freon appliances, tires, mattresses, and carpet ... pending purchase orders
If you already have a Good Point Recycling storage trailer, experiment by putting on a gaylord of books or textiles, and enjoy convenience of simplified accounting.  You may also make it possible for other districts, with limited storage, piggy back on your load in our "milk run", improving the total recycling economy in Vermont, New Hamshire, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
